June 12, 2020. On this hike, we explored Governor Nelson State Park for the first time. We also began a new “tradition” on our hikes. At some point along the trail, we quiet our voices for 2-5 minutes while walking and we each pay attention to what the ground feels like below us, what we hear, what we see, and what we smell. When our time of quiet, “meditative walking” is done, we each share about what we noticed. It was (and remains) a powerful practice for us all!
