August 25, 2020. Life can be so heavy, especially these days. Given that, we feel especially grateful for times when the silliness overtakes us. Today, our laughter at Indian Lake renewed our spirits. It continued long into the evening, as we sat around the dinner table recalling “the robot run” and the “twin walk” and the “sand storm” and “butt kick” moments of our hike. Actually, there were several remarkably silly moments that made us laugh so hard our abs hurt. As highly sensitive people, we experience and process pain deeply. Yet, for the depths of sorrow we endure, we can also feel such heights of joy and happiness. Today, we made space to process joy deeply. On this hike, our tears were the result of superlative silliness. What a gift to laugh together!
